Directors Profile: Chris Elliott
Chris attended Hereford Art College in 1980 and was able to explore a variety of mixed media skills including design, ceramics, photography and illustration. After leaving college Chris worked free-lance as a model, mask and prop-maker for the theatrical industry, ran workshops in scrap sculpture and animation and created large-scale structures for public events.
In 1986 Chris visited the rainforests of Borneo in South East Asia and an interest in the plight of forest cultures prompted a move into animation. In 1994 this led to him making 'Museum of Stolen Souls' which was subsidised by Channel 4 and the Arts Council of England.
Chris helped set up Cinetig in 1988 with the aim of developing more ambitious community projects throughout Wales. His passion for natural history led to him studying 'Countryside Management' in order to develop creative projects within the environmental sector.
